I have been searching for another venue for Embroidery It.  I shouldn’t say “another” when what I really mean is a second venue, something in addition to Etsy.

I’ve been searching high and low for some time now.  Sometimes the venue wouldn’t be able to do instant digital downloads. Sometimes the venue was just too costly.

Yet I’ve been listening to you.  A handful of you, for different reasons, just don’t care for Etsy.  I get that.  I have a special place in my heart for Etsy, though we’ve had the occasional issue, but it isn’t perfect.  Probably no place on the internet is.

After months of searching, I have found a new place to sell machine embroidery designs, and that place is Zibbet.  It is not free, but it is a lower cost than many places and it does have instant download for digital files.  It has a modern interface and I really like how I can now place one item in multiple sections.  For instance, I can place a Christmas in-the-hoop design in both the categories for Christmas Embroidery as well as in the hoop.  It will make items easier to find.  That is one thing that Etsy did not allow for.

Zibbet, the website is actually 10 years old now.  It is based in Sydney, Australia and has an excellent reputation.  The website is secure and they have been improving things for both buyers and sellers greatly over the course of time.

You are probably wondering why I just don’t sell things here on this website.  Well, I may.  But this website is far from perfect too and even though I’ve built it up to what it is today, going to a full e-commerce store is another big jump.  It is a dream of mine to eventually have that.

Here is a screen shot of my Zibbet shop.  When you click on “Shop” the categories are right their front and center.  The photos are larger and the workings of it are more modern.

One item to note.  Some of you LOVE Etsy.  I’m not leaving Etsy and the one thing I promise.  Prices WILL be the same in both locations.

Not everything is available on Zibbet just yet.   It is going to take me some time to get things over there, but from this point forward, all new designs will be available in both locations.

If you plan to make a purchase, would you do me a favor and consider Zibbet.  Then let me know how your shopping experience was over there.  I would truly appreciate it.
